Wildlower and canal walk

Canal Centre
Saturday, 20 June 2020 10:00 - 13:00

Our canal and nature reserve is packed with fascinating wildlife and plants but do you know the fauna and flora that live here? Or even how they are the most important environmental assets? Join us and understand the amazing countryside on your doorstep. Be guided by local expert, Roger James, Emeritus of GWT. Our walk will start along the canal from Fourteen Locks Canal centre and end around Allt-yr-yn nature reserve and wildflower meadow. It’s £2.50 per person and booking is essential due to limited spaces. Sturdy footwear is a must including waterproofs to hand. Some paths will be muddy and overgrown so this walk is not suitable for prams, pushchairs and wheelchairs. Unfortunately we cannot take dogs this time. The walk will be about 2/3 hours long and you’ll learn lots of interesting and educational facts. We will finish back at the centre for tea / coffee and biscuits. It also gives you an opportunity to ask any other questions you missed. For booking you can email This email address is being protected from spambots.
